Brazil’s FIFA World Cup Preparation Is Behind Schedule

Posted: 24 Jun 2011 09:09 AM PDT

The FIFA World Cup 2014 is due to be held in Brazil. However, the host nation is well behind schedule in its preparedness to host the prestigious event, according to FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke. Valcke has expressed concern at the slow progress shown by the host nation of the 2014 mega event. The lack of progress has been most obvious in Sao Paulo, where a new stadium is under construction. The stadium that was planned to be used in the 2014 world cup is unlikely to be ready by 2013. As originally scheduled, the stadium was to be up in time to host the Confederations Cup to be held in that year. That would serve as a rehearsal for the bigger event to come, in 2014. Some fans managed to key their payment details in, only to be told at the end, to "try again, later." Related posts:

Can West Indies Bounce Back In The Second Test Against India?

Posted: 24 Jun 2011 06:35 AM PDT

India have completed a 63-run win over the West Indies in the recently played first test match at Kingston, Jamaica. India are yet to record a test series win in the Caribbeans. Can Dhoni's men break this record? If the first test is anything to go by, even a depleted Indian team appeared to have got the measure of Sammy's West Indian team. But an analysis of the match shows how the result could easily have been reversed, had the West Indians played well in the crucial moments. Related posts:
