JAKARTA- Tersangka kasus suap Wisma Atlet SEA Games Muhammad Nazaruddin kemungkinan besar akan ditahan di Rumah Tahanan (Rutan) Mako Brimob Depok setibanya di tanah Air.

“Sedang disurvei, mudah-mudahan hari ini ada kepastian ditahan di mana. Kapolri semalam mengatakan, Kelapa Dua siap,” kata Wakil Pimpinan Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Bibit Samad Rianto saat konferensi pers di Gedung KPK, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Jumat (12/8/2011).

Ditegaskan Bibit, Nazaruddin nantinya akan langsung dibawa ke KPK dari bandara sebelum dibawa ke tahanan. “Iya, kita sudah rundingkan. Jadi dari Halim kita langsung ke KPK, yang punya hajat KPK,” katanya.

Namun lucunya, setelah menyebut Bandara Halim Perdana Kusuma (seperti kalimat di atas) Bibit langsung menepis tak tahu bandara mana yang dijadikan tempat pendaratan Nazaruddin.

Saat ditanya kepastian pendaratan Nazaruddin, Bibit malah mengaku belum tahu. “Kami belum tahu bandara mana. Kita cari yang paling aman,” katanya.

Padahal sebelumnya, jelas-jelas Bibit mengatakan, “Jadi dari Halim kita langsung ke KPK.”

Pesawat carter pengangkut Muhammad Nazaruddin diketahui sudah terbang menuju Indonesia pada pukul 05.15 waktu setempat, Jumat 12 Agustus.

Kata Juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri Michael Tene, jarak tempuh perjalanan bisa mencapai 30 jam. Jika dihitung dari waktu berangkatnya, diperkirakan pesawat akan mendarat di Jakarta sekira pukul 11.00 WIB, Sabtu 12 Agustus 2011.(ugo)

Added to the $280 billion that has already been invested since 2007, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silvas recent announcement that $878 billion would be spent between now and the time of the Rio Olympics has given a major boost to the country's preparations to host two of the world's biggest sporting events.

Hundreds of thousands of athletes and spectators from all corners of the globe will be descending on Brazil between 2014 and 2016 and this emerging world power is more than ready to take its place in the spotlight. At a ceremony at the Brazilian foreign affairs ministry last Monday, President Lula da Silva announced a programme of massive airport investment in time for the 2014 World Cup.

The funds will be invested in the airports of the twelve host cities, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Cuiab, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaos, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Recife and Natal.

It just happens like clockwork - one company sees the market, makes a best selling gaming console, and others follow suit. While Microsoft Xbox 360 may not be able to claim to be a pioneer over its competitors - Nintendo, Microsoft, and the-then viable Sega - there could be no doubt that the gaming industry would have been a much different landscape without the Xbox.

The Xbox's hardware resembles more of a personal computer than a traditional gaming console, and it's not that big of a mystery considering that the Xbox itself is based on common personal computer hardware architecture.

First, to clarify: the Microsoft Xbox 360 is not the same as the just the Microsoft Xbox as both consoles have different hardware architectures. The original Xbox console was discontinued in late 2006, just in time for the 360 to take up its slack as early as May 2005.

This online service is probably one of Microsoft's most important legacy to the console industry: the ability for players to compete online was something that had opened a whole new floodgate in the console gaming community, and general reception was very well received.

The original Xbox was the first video game console to use an internal hard disk for saving game progress and content download from the Xbox Live, an online service accessible to Xbox players where they can download update patches, media and other content, legacy, homebrew and paid downloadable games and most importantly, the technology to allow players to play with as well as against each other online.

Google AdSense Founder Raises Cash From Lerer Ventures And Others For Stealth Startup Scopely


Google AdSense co-founder Eytan Elbaz is announcing a round of funding from a group of all-star investors for his stealthy startup Scopely. Investors in the round (the amount of which was not disclosed) include Lerer Ventures, Greycroft Partners, Howard Lindzon, Terri Semel’s Windsor Media, David Cohen, Dave Tisch, Gil Elbaz, and Evan Rifkin.
For background, Elbaz co-founded Applied Semantics, which he sold to Google for $100 million in 2003. Applied Semantics ended up becoming Google AdSense, and Eytan stayed on as Head of Domain Channel for Google. He left Google in 2007 to pursue other projects.
Eytan declined to reveal exact details on what Scopely will focus on, but said that the startup will disrupt the social space that is “ripe for innovation.” He says that social networks have grown up quickly and Scopely’s product, which is being programmed in Node.js, will play in this arena. He adds that online advertising will play a part in Scopely as well.
The angel investment will be used for product development and expanding the engineering team. Currently, the Scopely team includes 12 senior engineers and product managers from companies including Playdom, MindJolt, Warner Brothers, and Saatchi and Saatchi. Japan made the FIFA Women's World Cup their own, trumping USA 3-1 in the penalty shoot out following a final that went into extra time only to produce a 2-2 stalemate. USA who had scored late goals in earlier matches were hoist with their own petard, when skipper Homare Sawa gave Japan a lifeline, using a deft touch to score off a corner, in the 117th minute. USA had led 2-1 till about three minutes to go, when that last goal transpired, pushing the game into a penalty shoot out to decide the winners, on the night.

Elin Nordegren is back in the dating game.

Jamie's dad, Michael Dingman, is a wealthy investor, while Jamie himself specialized in Russian private equity funds and owned an Indy car-racing team.

Interestingly, he reportedly dated Bridget Moynahan, Tom Brady's ex, before Elin, and was also romantically linked to Princess Madeleine of Sweden.

He's got quite a Swedish princess right now, it appears!

Spirces say he and Elin met at a Red Cross charity event in Florida in January and "he and Elin have strong feelings for each other," a friend said.

"He's a classic all-American guy, but very private. He's handsome, a total gentleman and low-key. He's never been in the press. Elin's a very lucky girl."

The source added, "He doesn't play golf."

As for Tiger Woods, who divorced Elin last year after his philandering with myriad VIP cocktail waitresses was exposed, his relationship status is unclear.

The Tour de France is an annual bicycle race held in France and nearby countries. First staged in 1903, the race covers more than 3,600 kilometres (2,200 mi) and lasts three weeks. As the best known and most prestigious of cycling's three "Grand Tours", the Tour de France attracts riders and teams from around the world. The race is broken into day-long segments, called stages. Individual times to finish each stage are aggregated to determine the overall winner at the end of the race. The rider with the lowest aggregate time at the end of each day wears a yellow jersey.[1] The course changes every year, but the race has always finished in Paris. Since 1975, the climax of the final stage has been along the Champs-Élysées.

Description

The tour typically has 21 days of racing and covers 3,200 kilometres (2,000 mi).[2] The shortest Tour was in 1904 at 2,420 kilometres (1,500 mi), the longest in 1926 at 5,745 kilometres (3,570 mi).[3] The three weeks usually include two rest days, sometimes used to transport riders from a finish in one town to the start in another.[4] The race alternates between clockwise and anticlockwise circuits of France. The first anticlockwise circuit was in 1913.[5] The New York Times said the "Tour de France is arguably the most physiologically demanding of athletic events." The effort was compared to "running a marathon several days a week for nearly three weeks", while the total elevation of the climbs was compared to "climbing three Everests."[6]

The number of teams usually varies between 20 to 22, with nine riders in each. Entry is by invitation to teams chosen by the race organiser, the Amaury Sport Organisation. Team members help each other and are followed by managers and mechanics in cars.

Riders are judged by the time each has taken throughout the race, a ranking known as the general classification. There may be time deductions for finishing well in a daily stage or being first to pass an intermediate point. It is possible to win without winning a stage, as Alberto Contador did in 2010; this has occurred six other times. There are subsidiary competitions (see below), some with distinctive jerseys for the best rider.

Riders normally start together each day, with the first over the line winning, but some days are ridden against the clock by individuals or teams. The overall winner is usually a master of the mountains and of these time trials. Most stages are in mainland France, although since the 1960s it has become common to visit nearby countries.[7] Stages can be flat, undulating or mountainous. Since 1975 the finish has been on the Champs-Élysées in Paris; from 1903 to 1967 the race finished at the Parc des Princes stadium in western Paris and from 1968 to 1974 at the Piste Municipale south of the capital.[8]

Many athletes who are perfectionistic with their approach to sports
think they have a great attitude about sports - until we talk about
how perfectionism can hold them back from reaching their potential.

Don't get me wrong. There are some advantages of perfectionism such
as having a strong work ethic, commitment to your goals, and a
willingness to learn and improve, which often disguise this mental
roadblock to success.

Having some perfectionism can help you achieve a few goals
quicker and get you to 75% of your potential, but after that
you have to remove the hard-to-detect mental roadblocks that
perfectionism presents.

There can be many disadvantages of trying to be too perfect with
your performance and if not kept in check can stifle your talent,
such as strict expectations, fear of failure, anxiety, and
worrying too much about results.

I have found it very hard to convince athletes who want to be
perfect that it really does hold them back in sports. They resist
having to change behavior that has helped them achieved some past
goals.

One of the problems with perfectionism is you unknowingly adopt
very high expectations. Not achieving your expectation can result
in high frustration and feelings of failure.

A couple years ago, a top 10 NASCAR driver approached me with a
specific problem he was experiencing in races. He said that when
the race did not go according to plan, he would become very
agitated, frustrated, and lose confidence altogether.

It was clear to me that his past success as a driver was actually
working against him. Why? He had won races at every level of his
career and his main goal was to win races and contend. But as time
went on, his goals about winning turned into expectations about
winning.

He badly wanted to win races. His high expectations about winning
actually made him feel frustrated and helpless.

When something went wrong with the equipment, such as a flat tire,
this did not fit his expectations of winning or contending. An
athlete will likely become upset, frustrated, and even lose
confidence when he or she can't meet strict demands set for
performance.

Perfectionists think that maintaining strict expectations is what
every athlete should do because it sounds good and the other option
of accepting mediocrity - is unbearable! But I have a different take
on this...

If not reaching your expectations causes you to become frustrated
and lose composure - this will block you from achieving your full
potential in sports.

Thus, I teach my students (1) to identify and discard strict
expectations and (2) to let go of frustration so they can stay
composed after mistakes and perform in the present moment without
dwelling on the past.
