As everyone knows that there are different categories of mp3 players as hard drive based players, micro-hard drive based players and flash drive players. Among these three types, the largest space player is only hard drive based player while micro hard drive based player and flash player carry less space to save your collection. They are different from each other due to many features. As flash player has a built-in flash chip in it which other two players do not have.

There were two names, which became popular with the invention of mp3 players, an audio coding professor Dieter Seitzer at the University of Erlangen and Karlheinz who is called the father of mp3. He was the expert in mathematics and electronics and he has been doing research since many years on the ways of compressing music.
However it is important to note here that it was failure struggle of Dieter and Karlheinz, as they became failure in succeeding. It was in early 1997, that Tomislay who was working for Advanced Multimedia Products, gave a new wave in the player industry and invented AMP mp3 playback engine. It was the first successful mp3 player, which got extreme popularity all over the world. After wards, there were two university students Dmitry Boldyrey and Justin Frankel who further developed this AMP to Windows and created Winamp. From that onward, it was such a revolution in the mp3 player industry that it not only made few people extremely rich but also gave to the world a very unique and very good players in which you can save large collection of your songs.
